Vsper Theroy Explain Please

Gimme a Break!

I decided to start the year an article by "catch-all" as I sometimes write when I get back from vacation and I did lots of things nice. And that was the case last week.

After a great Christmas with my family, I braved the elements to see my friends Auvergne in Clermont-Ferrand (you know, the city whose rugby team is champion of France ).
In fact, Santa Claus brought me a new toy that will allow me to offer you even more beautiful pictures in my future articles. This is the Canon Powershot SX 210, a marvel of camera with a zoom of death and HD video function very handy. Thank you Santa!

short, it had snowed on the Auvergne my friends and I took a walk to the ski resort of Super Besse (pictured above). Not to ski, always loathe the winter, the cold and snow. However, I quite like cooking mountain. And for a taste truffles, typical dish of the region that we visited in the Sancy. If you do not know this excellent dish, I refer you to my article " Truffade or poutine.

one we tasted was impressive last week (pictured above) and very good, although to my taste, and that of my master of cooking, Max's friend, the presence of bacon masked the aroma of fresh toma. After this episode

Auvergne, I came back briefly in my good city of Montpellier to encourage our rugby team who faced Biarritz the last game of the Top 14 this year. It was a tough match, dominated by our little blue in the first half and by the Basque second.

Ultimately, Montpellier won and that's the point. This match marked the return of our half-d'ouverture International, Francois Trinh-Duc, after a forced break due to injury. He celebrated it by scoring the only try of Montpellier a superb cons.

Here is a summary of the meeting I put together for you (with bonus comments from Vince):

I finally finished the week on the Coast 'Azur and more precisely on the Giens peninsula, south of Hyères. It's a very nice area to finish the year and begin another. again, I thank my host and friends with whom I spent a very nice stay. After a fairly
Eve disco, the first year was spent visiting this beautiful little corner of the Var coastline.

A walk on the beach we found that the traditional bathing of 1 January was still practiced. It must be said that if the sun shone only moderately, temperature was still very enjoyable.

Then it's into a U.S. military jeep, late 50s, that our host has wandered into the peninsula. A means of locomotion very original and really nice. Too bad the sun was not really go to discover the coves, pine forests and small ports which follow around Giens.
I will
with pleasure, and I'll open up the island of Porquerolles, which is only a short distance from the coast.

Well, one week began in the snows of Auvergne and ended on the beaches of the Cote d'Azur, that's the holidays, especially when you have the chance to share all the good times with dear friends.

To conclude this article Tote earlier this year, we need a little music. As I return to work today, I offer a song of circumstance:

New Year's Day!

A song comes immediately to mind when one thinks of the new year, New Year's Day U2 of . I also started the year with her in 2010. It's not very original but this song is very beautiful and I wanted to know more about her and you know.

New Year's Day appears on the excellent third album, War, released in February 1983. It was released as a single (the first and principal of the album) a month earlier. This is the first song of the group to reach the top 10 UK charts.

New Year's Day is one of the five most played songs by the band in concert. And it began on 1 December 1982 launch date of the War Tour. Performances in December 1982 and January 83, before the release of the album were dubbed "Pre-War Tour" and have helped test the songs before the public before the album's release.

The four Irish were young but already attracting crowds. Because here in Germany, in August 83:

As you can see, New Year's Day is driven by a very recognizable bass line by Adam Clayton and The Edge switches between keyboard and guitar.

For lovers of 6 strings, during the 1980s, The Edge used a Fender Stratocaster to play the song on stage. Then, during the years 1990 and 2000, he has alternated between a Gibson Les Paul Custom and Les Paul Standard.
I'm not sharp enough on guitar to tell you which one it is at this concert of 1993 in Australia:

The clip New Year's Day was shot in Sälen, Sweden, December 1982 and directed by Meiert Avis, a director in Ireland, specializes in videos, who worked for most of the big stars of rock and pop.
The group only appears in scenes of the video sung. In fact, The Edge has revealed in his biography that the four horsemen who appear to be members of U2 are actually Swedish teenage disguised with masks on their faces.

In early winter, temperatures were well below zero and Bono, who refused to wear a hat like his three friends had difficulty articulating the words of the song.

The text has its origins in a love song from Bono to his wife, but was later remodeled and inspired by the Polish Solidarity movement, created by Lech Walesa August 31, 1980. New Year's Day is a protest song, like many in this album.

When Vertigo Tour, 2005, when U2 went to Poland and sang New Year's Day , spectators have a bang waving red scarves in the front row and whites in the other sections to represent the Polish flag . The scene was repeated in 2009 during the passage of 360 ° Tour in the same stadium in Chorzow, it's pretty impressive (picture above).

Here is an excerpt from the 2005 concert:

The structure of the scene at 360 ° Tour is really fabulous. Here's one last video, a live in Dublin in July 2009. They are filmed from the pit and makes you want to be there.

Oddly, there are not many occasions New Year's Day . If you want listen to some, I recommend the excellent article Juthova's friend, published just last year on his excellent blog, The Reprise Musicale .

I will still offer a conclusion to this article. I'm not a fan of this artist (far from it!) but he is a Quebecer and I must admit that his version is not worse

that, I wish you a happy new year to you all!

Lab Diffusion Osmosis Answers

Bye 2010 ...

I wanted, like last year , make a brief assessment of the past year. But I must admit that it is not easy. Indeed, it not happen much about Folichon in the world this year.

The year 2010 has begun by the earthquake of Haiti, the January 12. The toll is 230,000 dead, 300,000 injured and 1.2 million homeless. A year later, the country is still in dire straits.
Its reconstruction is very slow because of the billions of dollars pledged by international aid arrive at Dropper and on-site disruption seems to be the watchword. Moreover, the year ends with a major political crisis due to elections bidonnées completely.

Speaking of elections and political crisis, even if we can call it that, this year is marked by what looks like an incipient civil war in Ivory Coast. All this because the local potentate, Laurent Gbagbo, clings to power as a mold to his rock. What is he afraid so that we discover whether another invests the presidential palace?

All this makes me not want to dwell on 2010 worldwide.

At the national level is not great either. As elsewhere in the world, the poor are getting poorer and the rich becoming richer. And everything is done to make it continue.
Nicolas Sarkozy, President Bachelor of our ongoing communication openly making fun of the mouth of the world. It smokes us out every week a new nickname major problem and a new nickname that goes with law, history that does not realize his inability to run the country.

must say he is helped in this regard by his friends, media owners, and pseudo journalists who work for them, who shower us with snow storms, cities and airports blocked. All this to make us forget that there are people who have no money to pay an supper. One wonders if this is not the government that snow to fill the spirit of good citizenship ... It's like this pseudo
reshuffle which has occupied the newsroom for more than 6 months. And finally, the mountain gave birth to a mouse. It takes the same and we continue ...

Fortunately, there were some cool events in 2010, especially in sports. Obviously I'm not talking about World Cup Soccer in South Africa where our national team has demonstrated his immense talent on the field and off.
I rather think the event that all native Auvergne, adoption and heart had been waiting a century, the Brennus shield for ASM. After 10 finals, lost the rugby team Clermont-Ferrand has finally won the championship trophy from France. And I Clermont that night ...

In my case, the year is gone very quickly. It has been marked by an unforgettable stay in Quebec and one VoiceFest extraordinary.

It is often said that when renewing a powerful experience, it's worse the second time. We are always disappointed because it's hard to relive the same feelings.
Well, regarding my experience VoiceFest, the second time was even better than the first. Obviously, there was the thrill of discovery but the very best know the city of Trois-Rivieres, charming people, the team and organization of the festival, I was able to take full advantage of this fabulous event.
hope that my third stay trifluvian during VoiceFest be as successful in 2011, it is also strong in encounters and emotions as before.

To complete the year 2010 in music, I offer a beautiful song, dating from 1990 and that card again this year across Europe. This is the cover of Over the Rainbow Judy Garland (Wizard of Oz theme) by Haitian artist, Israel Kamakawiwoole Alias IZ, who died in 1997.
A bit of sweetness in this world of brute

See you next year friends!
